CARDS DESIGNED BY BERYL FOR OUR WORKSHOP AT BUXTON

This card I made using a Little Claire stamp, I used their red spotty paper also.I put the snow scene behind window shutters, mounted on some shiny red card cut using a Nestability die. The white snow flake panel across the bottom is a Marianne punch and I finished it off with some red chiffon ribbon.

Margaret and Beryl's Residential Workshop at Buxton

Beryl and myself hosted another residential workshop - once again at the Lee Wood Hotel, Buxton.  Eleven ladies joined us and we had a great time: meeting up for lunch and shopping on Friday before heading to the hotel for a rest before dinner.  After a lovely meal we had a Christmas quiz before retiring to get some rest ready for the workshop next day.  Beryl and myself each did a 21/2 hour Workshop and had designed some 'special' Christmas cards.  It was a very enjoyable day with lots of socialising and laughter along with making some lovely cards.

I love this cute stamp by Penny Johnson which I have stamped onto a Nestability shape.  I coloured the image with promarkers and added matching papers and a border to the back of the shaped card.  I added snowflake paper to the front side panels and two trees cut and embossed from a Marianne die.

Margaret's cards designed for Buxton residential Workshop - Glitter scene

For this card I cut an aperture in white glitter card and backed it with silver card.  I cut and embossed the Marianne frame and added a stamped snow scene which has been glittered and mounted onto silver card.  The front card has been joined at the spine to a piece of pearlised backing card and finished with double ribbon and greeting.

Margaret's Cards designed for Buxton residential Workshop - Trees

Credit for this card goes to Paula at Which Craft - the tree stamp and papers were bought from Which Craft and the card was adapted from Paula's original idea.  I love the colours of the papers which are double-sided and I have stamped the trees onto the blue spotted side before cutting them out, shaping them and mounting them with silicone glue.

Margaret's cards designed for Buxton residential Workshop - Shutter card

The shutter card uses die-cut images from a Papermania pad to which I have added mounts cut from Nestabilities and matching card.

Margaret's Cards designed for Buxton residential workshop - Noel

I designed this easel card using a Noel stamp from Barbara Grey with a smaller Christmas scene stamp inside the O.  The flourishes and holly was coloured using promarkers and I added pearls coloured with red permanent marker for the berries.
